About The Entrance

The Entrance is probably the best known holiday area on the Central Coast and continues to be that way with constant attractions throughout the year. Its unbeatable location between Tuggerah Lakes and the Pacific Ocean makes it a perfect location right in the middle of the Central Coast.

The Entrance is just 75km North of Sydney on the NSW Central Coast. From the F3 Freeway, take the exit for Wyong, The Entrance and Yarramalong. From there it is just a 14km drive to The Entrance.

The two main beaches at The Entrance are The Entrance and North Entrance Beach. Both these beaches are patrolled right through summer. Fishing is very popular with some great rock fishing spots as well as a good family location just on the northern side of The Entrance bridge.

There are plenty of things for the whole family to do with some free attractions at Memorial Park including Pelican Feeding every day at 3:30 pm, a great water playground for the kids called Vera’s Water Garden and even a giant chessboard to try out your skills. Each Saturday there are arts and crafts stalls in the Park with live concerts often on stage. The whole family will love a ride on the carousel which has been operating since 1930. Tuggerah Lakes has its own Mardi Gras Festival each year with other popular events including the Central Coast Country Music Festival and New Year's Eve fireworks.

There is a tremendous range of international foods at the many restaurants and cafés. The choice of accommodation is amongst the best available on the Central Coast whether you are looking for a bed and breakfast or a motel or hotel, The Entrance has it all.
