Norah Head sits between The Entrance and Budgewoi, about 10 minutes from Toukley and is probably best known for its lighthouse which opened in 1903.  The lighthouse includes the heritage listed Lighthouse Keeper's Quarters which is a self-contained, three-bedroom cottage and is actually available as holiday accommodation.

The lighthouse itself is open for tours on weekends operating every half hour between 10:00amSoldiers Beach and 1:30 pm and also on Tuesdays and Fridays during school holidays.  As long as children are over five years of age, they can join the maximum of 10 people on each tour that get to climb the 96 stairs to the top for the magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding areas.  During the whale watching season, you can watch the humpbacks majestically swim past.

Just south of the lighthouse, Soldiers Beach is patrolled through Summer and offers a wonderful family beach to swim, play, surf, explore or just relax.  Just north of the lighthouse is Cabbage Tree Harbour with its beautiful Rock pool which is ideal for young children to enjoy.  A boat ramp is also located there for small and larger boats and scuba diving and beach fishing are just some of the very popular activities.

Norah head offers a good range of dining and accommodation for a range of budgets.

The Wyrrabalong National Park is a great place for the whole family with sand dunes, walking tracks, beautiful forests and fantastic views.  It is certainly worth stopping at some of the lookouts along the walks.
