Gosford offers a large range of clubs, bars, nightclubs, pubs, restaurants and cafes offering a great range of food from local fare to international cuisine plus plenty of retail therapy opportunities from convenient shopping centres. Gosford has two cinemas, a ten pin bowling centre, a race course, galleries and museums plus annual events hosted on the beautiful foreshores.

Walks around Gosfords waterfront are popular for relaxed walks and stopping to sip on a favourite coffee or glass of wine whilst watching the boats sail by. Gosford is known for its splendid natural setting, tourist attractions and thriving business industries.

The first European explorers arrived in 1788, and land grants were made from 1811.  A private township became established in the 1830s.  By 1888, completion of the Sydney to Newcastle railway line attracted tourists and industries developed.

From the 1960s Gosford has developed as a residential and tourist centre.  Access is easy via train, bus or car with a great range of accommodation on offer from B&B to resort style.  Gosford has it all.
