About Dooralong and Dooralong Valley

Dooralong Valley is only about 90 minutes North of Sydney and is known as a nature lovers paradise with it picturesque rural community of 3,500 located within a beautiful green countryside, adjacent to Wattagan State Forest and National Parks.

In the area, you can visit the State's most southerly macadamia farm, Yarramalong Macadamia Farm in the Yarramalong Valley where visitors get to taste test and purchase direct from the farm. 

You can enjoy some local tracks on horse back at Glenworth Valley Horse Riding where they have more than 200 horses suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders. 

Don’t forget to visit the oldest church in the Wyong Shire, St Barnabas Church in Yarramalong as well as pick up some great fresh produce from roadside stalls all over the area.

Dooralong is located amongst some of the most beautiful valleys in the State with gently sloping green pastures, surrounded by rolling hills, secluded valleys and lush farming country.

History of  Dooralong

In the 1900s, the Dooralong area between West Wyong and Yarramalong was best known for its red cedar forests. The area today is popular for its horse studs and turf farms plus its wonderful mountain scenery, great bushwalking facilities, special accommodation and facilities for campers.
